Q. What is Black Friday?
A. Black Friday is the nick name given to the day after Thanksgiving in the
United States and the "official" kickoff to the Christmas shopping season.
Q. Why is it called Black Friday?
A. The "Black Friday" nick name was originally an inside term amongst retailers
as that was the day their books went from the red (money lost) to the black
(money made).
Q. Why is it so big?
A. It's a combination of people being in the Holiday mood following Thanksgiving
and stores offering tremendous (sometimes insane) bargains on a number of items
for a couple hours.
Q. What day does it fall on this year.
A. This year's sale falls on November 24th.
Q. When do they run?
A. Most "door buster" offers run from 6am-11am, while others run throughout the
weekend. Please note, however, deals are only valid while supplies last so can
end at any time.
Q. Do you have any shopping tips?
A. Yes, select stores offer pricematching and it is advisable to purchase the
item a day or so before the sale and return during the sale to price match using
the current offer.
Q. How often is this page updated?
A. We update as the situations warrant.
Q. Are all these deals confirmed?
A. For legal reasons we cannot confirm any sales, however we believe the deals
posted to be very good guesses (*wink, wink*). If you are a retailer and would
like to confirm your offers, please let us know and we will be happy to feature
your listings.
Q. I know of a sale you don't have posted, are you interested?
A. Yes, please send them to us and we would be glad to post them. Send all
inquiries using this page.
